Built From Experience, Grit, and Determination
Central Arkansas Truck and Trailer was established in April 2017 by David Dunn, whose journey into heavy-duty repair was shaped by both opportunity and challenge. David initially partnered in a utility trailer dealership that included a repair shop. When his partner’s unrelated ventures led to bankruptcy, David faced substantial debt and a pivotal decision.
Instead of walking away, David leveraged his background in truck and trailer repair, bought out the building, and rebuilt the operation from scratch. What started as a tough situation became the foundation for a shop known for resilience, accountability, and hands-on leadership. That mindset still guides how we operate today—solve problems, do the job right, and stand behind our work.
The Right Balance of Scale and Service
We hold a distinctive position in the Little Rock market. Covering 35,000 square feet with 18 service bays and a team of 10 skilled technicians, we’re bigger and more capable than a small mom-and-pop shop. At the same time, we’ve intentionally kept the personal touch, honesty, and friendliness that drivers appreciate.
That balance allows us to blend advanced diagnostic technology, factory-level training, and efficient turnaround times with clear communication and long-lasting relationships. You’re not just another work order here—you’re a customer we look forward to seeing again.
Specialized Repairs With an In-House Advantage
Our team specializes in critical systems that directly impact safety, reliability, and uptime. This includes heavy-duty brake repair, comprehensive suspension services, and transmission and clutch repairs, including rear differential work. Suspension services cover shock and strut replacements, air ride systems, leaf spring suspensions, bushings, and torque rods.
We also provide specialized fuel system repairs, covering everything from fuel pump replacements and injector repairs to fuel line and pressure issues. Although we support most makes and models, we do not focus on Sprinter vans due to their specific technology needs.
One of our main advantages is our in-house transmission-rebuild capability. We lease space to a dedicated transmission specialist, enabling us to offer quicker diagnostics, better coordination, and higher-quality results without outsourcing essential work.
Certifications, Training, and Continuous Improvement
Our technicians are certified by Cummins, Detroit Diesel, Mack, and Volvo, and they receive ongoing training, including courses in Texas and other locations. We also have a technician currently working toward Eaton Transmission certification. This dedication helps us stay up to date with the latest systems, emissions standards, and drivetrain technologies.
Proudly Serving Central Arkansas
As a family-owned and operated shop, we take pride in serving drivers and fleets within a 50-mile radius of Little Rock, including Jacksonville, Sherwood, Conway, Benton, Bryant, Maumelle, and Cabot. We’re open Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 5 PM.
If you’re seeking a repair shop with experience, capability, and a straightforward approach, call Central Arkansas Truck and Trailer at 501-568-2185. We’re here to keep you on the road, not on the sidelines.
